I think 2 1/2. Still pretty square on the back end. Belly cuts upwards, straight back line. Good looking young buck.
2 1/2. his legs don't look proportionate to his body. he has a high cut stomach. meaning its tucked high into his hind quarters. has plenty of potential.
yeah id say 2.5... even though im not much good at this game. That deer is a young one but got some serious potential. It just doesnt have any neck yet and as said above has some filling out to do in the body. I hate to admit it, but the hunt club i hunt with that deer would be shot. People just dont understand the whole idea of letting them mature and get bigger. If its 12" it is fair game, anything smaller is a fine. I hate it and it drives me up the wall.
2.5...notice how large his eyes look, skinny neck, and his chest is much larger than his stomach. Antlers are never a good indicator of age. Dandy 2.5 year old. Lots of potential.
I'm going 2.5 as well which means he will be a real stud if he lives a few years. Blessings......Pastorjim
Thanks for the input everyone! Im thinking 2.5 myself. Hopefully he will survive the next couple of seasons, cause he sure has potential!
