Basically I wanted to start out small because I have little to no camera experience. With the understanding that a remote attached to my camera arm was a must I found a quality HD camera - Sony HDR CX260 for about $300 "used" via Amazon Warehouse. FYI, first time I've ever bought "used" on Amazon saved me over $100 camera had been used twice. Registered my product got 15% savings from Sony on the only remote they sell that works for the Handycams. It cost me about $41 and bought the Small Muddy Camera Mount that I will like attach to a Bow Hanger of some sort and use it as a camera arm. The Muddy ran me $40 on Amazon. I also got a battery charger and extra battery for around $70 which actually put me over $400 which is what I would have spent anyway on a new camera. Let the fun begin!!
might even be able to attach that thing to one of those bendy bow hangers then bam!!!!!!! you have yourself a camera arm, might be pretty shaky though. ahh see u already had this idea lol
looks good, be cautious of the cheap camera arms on the market. They can be really shakey when attempting to move the arm. If you have any mechanical apptitude a reasonably sturdy smooth moving arm can be made form some square aluminum tubing and teflon washers.
Nice job. I have the Muddy mount and smartphone holder, works well with touchscreen gloves but still more difficult than actual buttons would be: Thinking of getting a setup similar to yours - the remote is a great idea and makes perfect sense.
Slider46, What make, model is your three piece bow holder? I've been searching for one similar to yours but only finding the two piece version.
