    Hey
I recently sold my "Setup" PSE with arrows cut and the correct weight for it. Now I am the new owner of a Hoyt Trykon 75thANV. it is a 70# with a 29" draw ( I love this bow- I know some dont, but I do!) What weight arrow is correct? for a 100g g5 broadhead should I be using heavier arrowheads? Im lost!

I am shooting a Diamond Outlaw with a 29.5" draw and 65lbs draw weight. I am shooting Easton BloodLine 400's. That's what they recommended for when I bought my bow.

Spine is much more important than weight. I shoot a Hoyt Spyder Turbo, 65#s 29" DL and I shoot a 340 spine arrow. At present I am shooting FMJs, a pretty heavy arrow. If I change shafts to something lighter the spine would still have to be a 340 deflection. The weight wouldn't matter except that I would likely have to adjust my sight.

I think some guys confuse weight with spine. Spine is what you want to worry about first. Find what spine you need, then you can decide how heavy you want your finished arrow to be.

You should probably be using a 340 spine

I had the GoldTip hunters they were .003 and were killer for the price hell I'd say you can't beat em but they were cut for my PSE. I'd get them again but I don't know the spine ill need and the weight I should run

I use the Gold Tip XT Hunters. Around here in Missouri they are $8.50 an arrow which isn't too bad and they have the .003 straightness. Also they are probably one of the toughest arrows out there IMO.

+1 on that. But we are sort of getting off subject. How do you determine the spine that your bow requires?

There are several spine charts available online and on arrow boxes.. For your draw length and poundage you need to be shooting a .340 or equivalent spine (7595 for GoldTip, 350 for Carbon Express).

You should be using the 340 spine with the draw weight and draw length. As far as arrow recommendation goes, I have shot Easton Axis arrows for the past 2 seasons and IMO they are the best arrow on the market.
