I was in the contest last year, and got the biggest deer on my team.

here are a few pics of the mullie I got last year

I will have some time to bowhunt before harvest (season starts on sept 1st) but once it starts my time is limited (I live on a 3080 acre grain farm) but if the snow is flying (on the prairies north of Montana) and I get to take out my Sako after a 200+ inch buck im going to do it.

I've been too quiet for a while...like the avatar nice work! Been checking the trail cams every two weeks or so and have a good number of bucks but no monsters. Hopefully more will show their face come October like they did last year.

Planted three different kill plots this past weekend but for it to work out WE NEED SOME RAIN HERE IN IL!

Just plowed up the buckwheat this morning (plowed up nicely). Now I'll let it sit, then harrow it this weekend, plant next week, and PRAY for rain. We got a nice off and on light rain yesterday through the evening, and the brassicas are doing great. Nice 6 in it last evening.

I hear ya, it's starting to get pretty dry here too. At least we had some decent rain a couple weeks ago, but it turned hot and is getting dry pretty quickly.

I'll be planting a food plot Saturday morning to help my brother out. Once we get that finished we will be working on things for the elk trip. :tu:

Haha. That would be great. I can't promise that I will even hold out for a bull though. If I get a chance at a cow pretty quickly I may be blinded by backstraps and steaks.

My rye that I planted has taken over my entire logging road. Only thing I could get to grow so I rolled with it for the past few years.

Well I got the clover, rye, and oats in today. Calling for a chance of rain today, tomorrow and Tuesday, so it was kind of now or never. Here's hoping.

Well I checked my one cam today. Too bad I can't count spots for my score we would win for sure. A lot of does and little ones. Once the corn comes down I will start seeing more bucks.

Got a big food plot finished yesterday morning and a new little kill plot done in the afternoon by one of my wife's stands. We cleared about 1/8 acre by hand bc it has no way to get any 4 wheeler to it. It was tough but I think will be worth it. Also checked the cams yesterday and have a new 9 pt showing up. He's a decent buck, maybe my wife can get a shot at him.
