That depends on a number of things. What kind of bow do you have? What is your draw length and draw weight? What are you hunting for?

It's easy to get sucked into thinking you need a gigantic 2" cut mechanical but if you are shooting a light setup I would advise against it. I have killed plenty of deer with Muzzy fixed blades and they are just as dead as the deer killed with big mechanicals.

But like Drop Tine says we need to know your setup to make an accurate suggestion.

Most definitely can say without hesitation...any broadhead on the market shot accurately will kill deer. As for anything more than that it is personal preference. I personally use Slick Trick Magnums. I'm a fan of fixed, but mechanicals are loved by many, don't let anyone claim certain kinds won't kill though. Some are more durable, some do have better customer service, some come with sharper blades...but all have worked, are working and will continue to work

I wont say any brand just would recommend a good fixed broadhead. Imo they are better than mechanical s due to simplicity.

Shot placement is key, any broadhead will do the job if you put it in the right spot. Since you are just starting I would reccomend a sturdy fixed blade head like the NAP hellrazors or G5 montecs.
