I have 6 hang ons, 2 ladder stands, 1 ground blind, 1 box blind and 1 massive tower blind on my 40 acres.
I have 1 climber that I use on a huge tract of pubic land. If I plan to hunt several days in a row I'll leave it out but cover it at the base of the tree and locked . Also have 4 other trees ready if I choose to move stand locations.
5 ladder stands, 2 permanent and 2 ground blinds on 250 acres. Everything but ground blinds stay out all year.
We own 400 and lease another 600 we have probably close to 30 stands out plus 5 enclosed elevated stands for rifle hunters, we sell 5 bow hunts and 8 rifle unguided hunts every year, we placed stands where we thought they should be and our hunters added some as they thought needed. I have access to all stands till the hunters show up then I am limited to an 80 acre parcel with 2 bow stands and one enclosed rifle stand. We couldn't get our hunters to hunt this property so it was turned over to me exclusively and It has been a great piece. One stand on this piece is unhuntable do to wind patterns and deer movement though it looks to be great, 75 yards away on the opposite end of my food plot I placed my stand after hunting the original twice and it has been great.
5 stands on 80 acres plus 3 trees prepped for a climber is my main property. #2 property is a buddies property that has about 25 stands on 150 acres. They aren't the safest stands either. It isn't worth the risk of sitting in half his stands. Also have access to another 150 acres that has 3 stands. Haven't been there in a few years because I haven't needed to. Only 1 deer allowed in my area of Minnesota.
7 stands on National Forest left only during season. One stand on private. Acres? Several million. All hang on type. I have a few natural ground blinds and building more; I am getting away from tree stands. I began hunting before there were tree stands and like to hunt from the ground more now.
160 acres in MP - going to have 2, but my buddy has about 8 out there. 160 acres locally - 2 of my own stands, other jackwagon has about 10 52 acres - 1 stand, others have other stands there..about 4. So 5 total 10 acres - 2 stand set for wifey and I 6 acres - none yet, 1 other out there 5 acres - none yet, plan on 1 at least my OWN .82 acre parcel - none I have to share my parcels a lot as I have been given permission to hunt there. I also use my climber a lot.
I have 5 that i hunt and i only take down one cause its a climber and i dont want anyone stealing it all the others are ladder stands.
On my 80 I have 18 stands, of which 14 stay out but are checked/maintained every year. I also have three brush blinds, 4 hub blinds. almost forgot about the 15 or so climber trees that are prepped. Also have about 100 climber trees prepped on thousands of acres of public land.
Those with 5 plus on 80 acres or less, are you hunting thick cover or what, I mainly hunt a 80 acre parcel, 30 acres alfalfa field with 20 acres of small dry creek bed and trees, and 30 acres of pasture with a small pond that is usually dry by season. The best thing I have going is the surrounding milo and bean fields.
I'm thinking they probably have more than 1 stand in one spot to cover the different wind directions .
