I finally did it. After picking on hunting buddies for it, I did it myself this time. I set up a cam on a corn pile and salt lick, then walked out of the woods without turning the cam on. I got there this weekened to swap cards and refresh the bait and discovered it. Looks like the deer ate good this past week..... Who else has done it? C'mon guys, make me feel better that I'm not alone.
I'll one up ya yesterday I was pulling a card and in my hastiness I formatted the card before swapping cards erasing all my pics..... FAIL
You name it, I've done it. My favorite goof up of all time was when I put the same card back in the camera instead of swapping it for the new one. If that don't make you feel like you're in the latter stages of dementia. Blessings........Pastorjim
Oooohhh boy so far I haven't done it!! One time I had the camera positioned right and it slipped on the tree right after I left and was pointing above where the deer were. Had 0 pics other than a squirrel in a tree on occasion. Sure hope it never happens because the bulk of my cams are 6 1/2 hours away!!
I've had my share of issues with aiming cameras... nothing is worse than looking through pics where u can't see the heads of the deer
Bummer but It happens I left a cam for almost a month just to come back an find I left it on setup mode, ouch!
Easy fix, put your SD card(s) in a pill bottle or my personal favorite, the plastic containers that turkey mouth calls come in. I've always smarte to have em contained then loose bouncing around in my pocket.
Hahahah smooth move!!! Your cards were ok right? I've dropped mine in a creek an they were fine. What do you use for a holder anyway Fitz?
I did the exact same thing now earlier this spring. I immediately put the card in a bag of white rice for a few days and was shocked that I actually got the pics off of it!!
Cards seem to be ok. It's a little 4 card case kinda like this one. Too bad I've out grown it already with my 5th camera on order
Well I've left them off, forgotten to swap cards, forgotten to put cards in them and lost cards...don't feel bad.
