Farthest walk to a stand

    What's everyone's farthest walk to one of their treestands? I have a few stands that are a long haul but the farthest one is about a 2 hour walk about 2 1/2 hours in the dark with gear.

    The longest I have had was about 3/4 of a mile when i was bear hunting in Minnesota. I was a tad bit freaked out walking out of the stand at night considering it was so thick!

    used to be 1.5 /1.75 miles down a huge hill...then up a bigger hill....painful.
    now its 250 yards out my back door!

    No more than a mile. I hunt public land so I have to pack everything in and out each time. No way I'm packing everything in for 2 hours each time.

    one of my public stand areas is almost 2 miles now that the briars and thickets just got too nasty to hike through. Thats lots of winding around getting through that nastiness. Would only be about 3/4 mile otherwise.
