Les reinstates some dude who just punched another student in the head, on camera. This is the same Jeremy Hill who is on probation for recently raping a 14 year old girl. Classy program in Louisiana.
Nothing new for an SEC team. Manziel shoved an assistant coach and nothing happened. That is what irks me about that league, no discipline.
Yeah, I'm pretty shocked about this. I figured he would get at least a 3-4 game suspension. And let's not act like Miles has been too lenient in the past. He has kicked 2 of the best players on LSU off the team in the last 4 years (Ryan Perilloux and Mathieu) and suspended his starting QB (Jordan Jefferson) for 8 games in 2011 for a similiar incident. Apparently the administration is pushing for Miles to suspend Hill, but Miles isn't budging. Seems kinda out of character for Miles. This is a lie. He did not rape a 14 year old girl. Like I've said, no tOSU fan can claim moral superiority over anyone now that you have Meyer as your coach. He is easily recognized has the slimiest coach in all of CFB.
Did he not get charged and plead guilty for being 18 years old and forcing a 14 year old girl to perform oral favors to him and a friend? I am not claiming moral superiority over anyone. Beside that, I am not speaking as a college football fan here but rather as a man who cannot believe this is allowed to happen.
Yes he was charged with receiving a BJ from a 14 year old girl. Whether or not he forced her, well... 3 months younger and nothing would have ever come of that situation. Oh and if by "recently" you mean 3 years ago, then yeah, that is recently. Hill missed the entire first season at LSU because of the "rape" charge.
He is 20 years old... 18+3 years ago does not equal 20. His other transgressions aside (no excuse)... The punch wouldn't be such a big deal if it happened from a real fight. Not some dude (Hill) running across a parking lot and sucker punching a guy in the side of the head that couldn't even see it coming and then celebrating with his boys like it was cool.
Ok well it happened during his senior year in HS, and he is 3 years removed from HS this year, so... As for the punch, we didn't see what happened before the video, so no one really has any idea what happened before the video started. Obviously there was an ongoing "real" fight. I'm not taking up for Hill here, I think he should have been suspended for at least 3 games. There is talk about Miles not playing him for a couple of games, but that doesn't make any sense. If you aren't going to play him, just suspend him for the games to save public opinion.
That girl was also a sophomore at the time and Hill a senior. And don't worry, Hill will be suspended for between 2-4 games.
Yeah and he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for carnal knowledge. Far from "rape" You think so? Why is Miles delaying the suspension then?
Oh ye of little research... actually, we DO know what happened prior to the knock out video. But let's start here.. "knocking a 20-year-old man unconscious after Hill punched the victim, who had been walking away, authorities have said. The video showed Hill and Bayardo giving each other high-fives in front of the victim after he fell to the ground, according to a police report. Hill’s attorney, Marci Blaize, has said several people made derogatory comments to Hill the night of the fight, but she has declined to say whether the victim made the comments or what was said." -Baton Rouge's news paper; The Advocate Declined comment, huh? How convenient. But wait, this story gets better. As if this isn't bad enough -remember, we are talking about a "man" whom was on probation for... well: "Hill pleaded guilty in January 2012 to misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile after he and another student engaged in a sexual act with a 14-year-old girl in Redemptorist High School’s locker room. Hill was given a six-month suspended jail sentence, and a condition of his probation had been that he refrain from all criminal conduct, according to court records." -Baton Rouge's news paper; The Advocate USA Today: A cellular phone video of the incident later released by the District Attorney's office showed Hill running up behind the retreating man, setting up, winding up and striking the man on the side of the head. Now, assuming the reporting sources, as well as the Baton Rouge Police Department and court system, are pretty decent at what they do -we can conclude the following: This POS, whom committed "statutory rape" on a 14 year old girl, then celebrates with FIVE of his buddies as they surround and knock out a single guy for allegedly making derogatory comments in a bar, earlier that night. Again, this guy's only transgression was that he may or may not have been one a few persons whom made derogatory comment earlier in the night! What could be worse? Oh yeah, THE GUY WAS "RETREATING".... that's right, "WALKING AWAY"!!! See it for yourself, folks. LINK: Video of fight involving LSU RB Jeremy Hill | WBRZ News 2 Louisiana : Baton Rouge, LA | Now, LSU players voted him reinstated and Les Miles is going to allow this POS to continue to play for his team.... and you think MY team's coach is the slimy one?? O_o Well done, Les Miles... well done, LSU... well done, SEC
Oh, and I forgot to mention... the guy had just gotten up off the pavement when he was knocked out, while trying to leave again. Again, real classy! This POS should never be allowed to see a college football field again. Period.
