Whats up everybody! I've been watching bowhunt or die for over a year now. All of us probably agree that they have the best hunting show available. If you don't think so, then you at least have to admit that they have the most realistic show. I wonder if there is anybody else who is a member that is from Louisiana? I'm sure that most of you probably are aware of the Duck Dynasty show on A&E. I live ten minutes from Phil Robertson and about the same from his brother Si Robertson. We may not make it onto the map for the size of our bucks though. A 120" is a monster around here. (I can hear some of you laughing....) We shoot them too quick! lol. The rifles run the show around here. I just started hunting in 2011-12. Didn't get a bow kill that first season. This past season (2012-13) I discovered a perfect bow hunting spot right next to my house. My goal for the season was to get a kill with my bow. There is a small group of hardwoods on the edge of a large bedding area. I have my stand situated where the wind is rarely ever an issue, and I don't have to walk near where the deer come in to feed. I don't have any other spots like this on the rest of my 80 acres. I took my first bow kill during the first week of the season out of this spot. A nice young doe. It was the greatest rush I've ever had. Got my stands hung a couple weeks back. Can't wait for October 1 baby! Hope to be showing pics of another bow kill or maybe even two!! Good luck to all of you. Funny you said something about wondering if there are any people on here from LA because I just joined the other day and was wondering the same. I actually live right next to ya in Monroe but spend most of my time hunting in Tensas. Good luck this season man!
