Just bought a "new to me" Hoyt Trykon 75th anv. I need a string kit I believe due to a little "puff" freyed spot at the lower cam. I cannot seem to find strings for it ? I havent had this problem before becuase I had a cookie cutter PSE. also I am having an issue locating a string stop that will work on it as well. but it is shooting pretty good for now.
Hi , I bought a new string for my hoyt vector 32 last fall and found out I could buy a custom string cheaper than from hoyt
You can go to the manufacturer website to get the string specs. Most shops have a go-to sting place, the shop I go to uses first string, mainly because they have a local facility and can get strings in a few days. I put one of these on my Mathews and it was a really nice string. Also, there are guys on here that make strings that could help you out. Not sure their prices though but I'm sure some will chime in and can help
I hope so, Unfortunately I couldnt afford a "New" hi-end bow this year but I could afford this Hoyt Trykon its a 06' and 70# will give me that extra distance I need. However there isnt allot out there for it.
If you have a 2006 Trykon, The string specs are string: 53.5 Control cable: 39.25 and buss: 36.25. That is as long as it is not a xl and has z-4.0 or z-5.0 cams. This a standard one.
Do you have any string or cable lengths written on it? If not read the cam and let me know what that says.
Okay so this is what you have Hoyt trykon 2006 xt 500 limbs Z-5.0 Cams Cam-n-half 29.0 Draw length String: 53.5 Buss cable: 36.25 Control cable: 39.25 You should copy and paste the info and keep it. Hutch
Man I guess you were right on from the get go! Thank you! I am goint to try to run with this string for the time being, I really need a 27.5-28 inch draw. is this adjustable with out replacing the cams? I will be getting strings prior to season in september, what is the time frame to have strings and cables made? I will be ordering them from you on I assume what is your website.
Cam change is the only way that i know to shorten the draw length. Unless you short string it. Then that changes the letoff.
Go on to Archerytalk and look in the classifieds you would need a z-4.0 for a 28 inch draw or z-3.5 for a 27.5 draw. Once you have them sell yours.
Measuring my draw would be from my hand or wrist? To the point I like to draw to? The corner of my lip .
Looks like the only ones for sale are what I currently have. Seems like most people have a shorter draw than the 29" . Is there a benefit to having such a long draw?
Sorry MK1, I was on vacation and couldn't get back to you. The correct draw length is important. You should have your draw length measured and have the bow set for your length.
