Found out this morning My dad, Wife, and myself got drawn to Archery hunt the NWR near our house. I've been putting in for these things for years and finally got one. This place has tons of bucks over 150 inches. The only downfall is it's a antlerless draw only:( The plus is we get two doe a piece. Should be a blast anyways. Now it's time to buy another Lone Wolf so I can hang her right beside me. Anybody else ever put in for these type of hunts?

Congratulations on your draw! Now... can you just imagine having to pass on a 150+ deer? Man - I know that's the rules, but it's gotta' be fun just to see one close! Have fun. :tu:

I was talking to a game warden there one day. He was pulled over with his spotting scope in late August or so. There were 6 bucks over 150 standing side by side. It will be tough for sure but ill be happy with the does. The number of deer at this place is crazy. Last week we went an drive the 6 mile circle once an counted 167 deer. That's just what we could see from the road.

The dates for Sequoyah are 10/28-10/31. Hopefully we can get on some. I always put in for three competitive hunts, and two not so hard. This one is close to the house and during the week is why I liked it.
