Climbers I like the Summit Goliath xl. Comfortable as all get out. You didn't ask but, hang on I like Lone Wolf Alpha II. Good luck on your decision, and NEVER NEVER NEVER, get off the ground without a safety harness. Happy hunting!

Thanks for the input. Safety is no accindent. I used to have the viper but sold it I liked it but was a bit of a pain to set up. Looking for something not to heavy.

the two big brands are summit and lone wolf. summit makes a comfortable stand and lone wolf makes a light easy to pack in and out stand. i prefer the summits

I prefer a sloped grade of roughly 45 degrees with a shut off switch for the escalator at both the bottom and the top and I prefer a quiet electric operated motor. :)

I've only ever used a treelounge (more of a gun hunters set up though than bow) so I can say they're way too comfortable and you will fall asleep at some point in them :)

I thought about going with a couple of sticks and a hang on but I am hunting mostly public land so I thought a climber would do best.

Ya I was just kidding I knew there was no such thing as tree elevators lol

I'm in the market for a climber too. I got my mind set on summit as well. Here was my train of thought.

Ol man is really comfortable but the way it connects to tree is retarded. It's like a screw you loosen then tighten after your climbing strap is around tree. At 5 am in pitch dark in negative Canadian temperatures ill never have the finger tips to do that.

Lone wolf are supposed to be lightest and quitest. But they look terribly uncomfortable with that small little seat and there almost double the price of a summit. Can't see it being soooooo much better when it's less comfortable and twice the cost. For that price it should be a elevator.

Summits are very comfortable, fairly quite and even quiter if you make mods you'll find online. And priced competitive.

My only reason for not buying one yet is I can't decide if its the right stand for the job. I'm afraid climbing in the morning will spook every deer from one county to the next. Lets be honest none of them are silent. I dunno maybe some users can chime in. Any of you guys kill big deer from climbers in the morning?

As long as you get in early in the morning and let the woods settle for about 20min after your all setup you should be good!!
