Nice catch!! Especially considering the fact that if you weren't fishing for musky, chances are you didn't have a leader on the line so he easily could've chewed through it.

Tigers are one of the prettiest fish out there, IMO. Nice work!

Yeah that was one of the best parts. As soon as I seen what it was I got scared but was lucky and had him hooked just right!

    Thanks bud!

Thanks man! What sounds more right to you? Im pretty sure Im making a very safe guess but could be wrong. Going to measure my glasses and figure out a good estimate using that...will get me length anyway.

I agree 100%...one of the prettiest and meanest looking. I was so shocked at his teeth size. Ive caught 20lb pike in Canada years ago, and they have big teeth for sure, but this thing had some crazy chompers!

Ok, just measured using my sunglasses as a base. My glasses are 4.75" from top left corner of the left lens to the top right corner of the right lens, straight across, not bent with the shape of the glasses. The fish is about 8.5 times the length of the glasses in the spots I measured. So, even if it was 8 times the length, and 4.5", thats 36". At 8.5 times the length, and 4.75", its 40.375". Granted, this is in no way super accurate, but gives a very good idea of it, and Im still sure 35" is by far a low ball guess. And same with 15lbs. But, I would def like to know what you (and others) think bud! And no matter what its a great fish and Im proud!

Just guessing from the pic, I would guess 33-34ish and 12 lbs.

Keep in mind your sunglasses are a foot or more further back from the camera, so its not a good scale. Your hand would be the most accurate measurement tool. I've seen my fair amount of muskies and that is not close to 40".

Still a nice fish! Not taking away from that. You ask for opinions and I don't need much persuading. ;)

haha I figured you wouldnt. Ok, measured my middle finger since thats the straightest part of my hand in this picture. From finger tip to second knuckle is 2.5", and I came up with 15.5 finger lengths on the fish...so 38.75"...I know he wasnt that long, but still dont think 35" is out of the question. Ill keep something to measure musky with in the boat next time to avoid this issue haha. Hope to catch more, is a 12-15lb fish fought that good, cant wait to see what a 18-20lb musky feels like!

They are definitely a badass fish. I love them so.

Here is a 40.5" fish from yesterday.
