I have a D*ck's Sporting Goods right at the mall but they seem to predominately sell high priced Under Armour.

Camo shopping for a newbie=go down to a local shop and buy whatever camo they have on sale. Buy 3-4 cheap outfits and let it rip. Don't worry about camoflauge underarmor stuff (the deer can't see below your outer clothes), just buy functional, warm clothes regardless of the coolness factor.

Hence why I'm shopping now. Figured I could get some inexpensive clearance sale items before it gets close to the season. Save some money while still getting decent quality (warm and durable).

I wear a scent lok base layer and then camo over. the camo changes with the time of the season. Obviously light weight stuff with a little green in it for early season, to 3 layer jacket/bib system for the cold late season. One thing I can tell you want to spend money on is Gortex. I think it's the best protection out there for wind/rain/snow. It's pricey though. I go for versatility. what will get you the most for your money.
