20 degrees right now, supposed to be 65 by this weekend. We still have a foot of snow and 2 feet of ice to get rid of yet. Going to get sloppy this weekend.
The Grand River is at an all time record high. Its a good thing they built the walls higher after the last 100 year flood or the entire downtown would be flooded again. A before and after. This is a 1/2 mile from my house. This is where the West Michigan Whitecaps play. They are part of the Tigers minor league system. Its about 3 miles from my house. The homes downstream where the river isn't contained aren't doing so well. Neither are some cars. Its a good thing the windows of the lower offices downtown were constructed for such an event.
I have never seen windows like that, that's pretty cool. Of course it sucks at the same time, but....
Yes, my house is fine. The neighborhood I live in is one of the higher elevation areas of the city. While I'm less than a 1/2 mile away from a heavily flooded area, its all uphill.
Can't make it up but we're supposed to get 6-9" of snow today/night. Minnesota is drunk. sent from droid razr maxx hd
Our snow is mostly gone now. Shaded areas still have big piles though, and I could drive on the lake if I wanted
