I'm guessing anywhere between 1200-1400. On my first bow most of it was gifted from other people and when I bought my ZXT there was only about 350-400 out of my pocket due to trading in my reezen. So really I've gotten two 800 dollar bows for that amount, although I probably woulda spent that much regardless of the help from others.
My set up is built around a 2008 Ross cardiac that I got new off AT in 2009 for 250. Bunch of secondhand stuff on it runs it up to about 400 bucks for my set up, haven't bought anything new for it since 2010 either. Works fine for my liking and has beat a bunch of washed up old fools with 1500$ setups at the GTG a few years back.
Schafer Silvertip, 1500.00 dollars. It's custom made for me. This bow will hopefully last me 20+ years. My last recurve I used for 17 years. I still gotta get some string silencers yet and a bow mounted quiver.

I searched long and hard on the net to find deals on the sight, stab, and rest. Buying last years models helps tremendously. I saved over hundred dollars right there over going to the shop and just picking them up off the shelf. I will have add a little for new limbs. At first I bought the 70lb limbs and a shoulder injury later I am getting 60lb limbs put on it.

I've had alot of bows. mostly high end, and I chose a Martin..... But this Martin shoots fantastic. It's soooooo stable at full draw, it's plenty smooth, actually it's doing it's IBO, by far the quietest Martin i've ever had. Just a touch of vibe after the shot, but a better stabilizer would squelch it i'm sure. It's a 2011, so it's current. I love the adjustable draw stop on the accutrak single cam. I have it tuned and marked on the cam, so when i get new strings...i will know where to set the cam. GREAT GRIP!!! So far this bow is the best all around bow that i've had........the next choice would be a Bear Truth. Here's a couple of pics of the bows. the doe is with martin ridge hunter and the other two...bear truth
Nice Like the Legion Can't wait until mine is out of the shop getting winners choice on it blue and black
