Well it’s almost that time again when everything starts green back up, the smell of spring is in the air, and a big fat long beard is gobbling in the trees waiting for the sun to break. Let’s try to get this thing rolling with every one checking in and telling a little bit about them self’s.
I will go ahead and start
    Name- Nick Coheley
    Age- 22
    Area of hunting- Michigan
Info- I have been turkey hunting since I was 12, usually do pretty well. this year i will be going down to kentucky April 12th to try and get one down there before my hunt in michigan starts in May.

    Checking in,

My name is Alex Hiestand. I have only been turkey hunting for 3 years now, so I have lots to learn still. I will be hunting in Michigan near my home during the week and I will be in southern Ohio on the weekends. Good luck to everyone, and safe travels

I will be hunting at the higgins henory WMA. I am going there because i am planing on doing a early season deer hunt there also. So going there gives me time to do some good scouting and get on a few birds while im down there also.

Alex- where are you from in michigan? if your close maybe we could meet up and do some hunting together.

My goal for this year is to knock down two birds and to get at least one on film. Multiple bearded bird would be nice also...... ;)

im with you on this one. one bird in kentucky and one in michigan but the only way i will shoot one is if its on film. and instead of multiple beards i am wanting to get a white phase bird we have a few around here.

geaton- that kinda sucks having such a short season

We have a few huntins in April that are short like that but i wait until May and then u get to hunt the whole month. But i would love to have 5 months of deer hunting. we only get 3 months, which is why i will be heading down to kentucky in septemeber.

I considered trying to go there but choice H&H instead. Ya thats how it happens sometimes. Just find where there roosting, get in there early and should be in the money. Easiest way to find where there roosting is go out early morning and listen for them before they come off the roost.

Two weeks from today! A couple good birds are showing up on the cams consistently. Should be an exciting opening morning.
