Hey guys. Im pretty excited to get into the woods, well its more feilds here in CO than anything. But Lets shoot some birds. My Open Date is 14 April and I have one tag so far for a Bearded Turkey, and I can buy another if I tag out. Good luck guys. I will be using a blind and 2 decoys, any suggestions on how to set up a jake and a feeding hen?
Everyone post a little about themselves so we get to know eachother a little bit better. I'm from a small town in Northeast Ohio where there's really nothing but big bucks, tons of thunder chickens and a small Lake Erie backwater that holds some giant smallmouth. I spend most of my time fishing, but I hunt almost just as much. I'm a junior at my counties career center and I'm in public safety that is a class where I get my EMT basic and Level II Firefighter and many other certifications. I'm my class President and I'm on the local volunteer fire department as a cadet and I'm the captain of the group. I shoot a Hoyt and hunt alot with my brothers and friends.
Well I'm hunting from Colorado and only public land. I know some people that have hunted around here and have pointed me in the right direction. Im in the Army and love hunting. Its my passion, I had a 4 year Break in Hunting but after this last deployment and getting some hunting magazines sent to me It sparked me back in the right direction. Lets kill some Birds peeps. Put the other teams to shame lol
Hey guys! I called in a Gobbler for a buddy yesterday, so I guess I blew the dust off most of equipment. My season starts in a couple weeks. Good luck guys!
Hey guys, we are on the board! I did fill my 1st tag on the 24th, and got it on video, so it should air in an upcoming BHOD episode. The bird was 24 lbs, 10 1/8" beard, and had 1" spurs. This is a great bird, but according to the official rules, we get to enter our largest of the first 2 birds killed, in a multiple bird state. I have more tags, so I might as well wait to see how big #2 will be! That is of course, I can seal the deal on another one. Good luck guys!
