Wisconsin Shed Hunting

Hey everyone! Just wondering how many people have been picking up antlers already in WI? I haven't been able to get out yet, but am hoping to in the next couple weeks! Good luck to all the shed hunters out there!

 

I was out this morning and pulled some sd cards and all my bucks are still carrying their headgear. Scoot

 

I went a couple weeks ago, looked for three hours, didnt find a thing.... i agree its probabaly alittle early yet

I just got my first shedded buck on cam on the 25th

 

I haven't seen any bucks that have shed on cam yet. Hoping they start dropping soon!!

 

I have two fully shed and one half rack, with some still carrying. One dropped late Dec, one early Jan, the half rack dropped one side on the 17th. Looking tomorrow but with new snow not expecting much!

 

I'm headed up to Tomahawk tonight. I'll be doing some shed hunting tomorrow. I'll post pics if I find anything.

 

We just got about 6-8" of fresh snow. I was hoping to get out, but I don't think there's any point in looking after we got that much snow! Good luck Shockwave!

 

Yup, this snow really put a damper on my shed hunting plans.

 

I was out for 4 hours (first time shed hunting) yesterday, nothin' doin'. On public land, so no cams to go off of.

 

I've yet to find a shed on public land! Spent a lot of time on public land up near Stevens Point last year and will be spending a lot of time out there again this year! Hoping to find one this year! How many of you have found sheds on public land?

 

That was the first time I had gone...ever. So, none.

 

Yeah no luck for me either after getting all that snow. The fact that the high for wed, thurs, and fri was like -1, we didn't wanna be out there all that long anyway!!

 

90% of my sheds are found on public grounds just north of Stevens Point (I live in Mosinee). Keep at it, you'll find some soon. Good luck.

Anyone having any luck in the past couple weeks? I'm still hoping for some of this snow to melt before I really start looking hard.

 

Did some walking for sheds while out coyote calling. Just to much snow right now and more on the way. Can't wait for the snow to melt! Just a waste of time to look now.

 

I'm down here in Southwestern Wisconsin and our 2 biggest bucks were still carrying as of the 7th of February. We have gotten a few small bucks and 1 big bodied buck that have shed out on camera but otherwise I think they are still carrying them.
