    Hey all -

Going to be making 1 final trip to KY to look to fill a buck tag this weekend. Looking like I will be hunting the Higginson-Henry WMA.

Didn't know if anyone had hunted the HH before - any tips or suggestions. I'd guess pressure this time of year is pretty low?

    Any help is awesome! Thanks

Mostly Indiana. I am non-res of Kentucky so this is only the second chance I've had to hunt it.

Did hunt the Peabody WMA in Sept. - didn't have very good weather, shocking! It was like mid 70's not your ideal bow hunting weather

I'd like to say that I did - but didn't, it was a last min. decision when some private land I had planned on hunting fell through. It is def. a place that you should try scoting before hand - it's fairly well marked, but access can be a challenge in places.

Deer sings - not very many. But again keep in mind, so much darn over growth that early in September that it's really hard to tell much of anything, especially since we hadn't ever hunted the land before.

Turkey - absolutely! Saw 5 to 10 right in the middle of the road! lol

Had it not been for the early hurricane, we were going to travel down and hunt opening weekend down there, but needless to say it didnt happen. It seems like an awesome place to hunt

I live 20 minutes from there and haven't hunted it this year. We have been seeing and killing deer on a private farm 15 minutes from there so no need.

It went well - I ended up seeing 27 deer (all doe) total in 3 sits and driving around the property. Deer signs were every where.

I didn't end up harvesting anything - but still a great late season hunt. Weather wasn't the best for hunting whitetail, 20 to 30 mph winds all day Saturday and 10 plus Sunday morning.

Good public land spot! Planning on going next year for sure!!
