I shoot a Mathews MR5 30" draw at 70#. with a 75 grain brass insert and 100 grain tips. Arrows cut to 28.5. Is the 340 spine stiff enough?

Have you shot the .340 with a bh? Just a quick look says you definitely need .300's

I have almost the same setup with 125 grain broadheads and had to shoot the .300s

My gut says you'll have to go with the .300s
I went to a 125 head on my 70 pound z7x and broadheads just simply wouldn't fly right until I went to a .300

If you have the ability buy 1 or 2 of each, then just test them yourself.

Yeah I was sure I needed the 300's. the guy at the archery shop told me 340's . not wanting to argue with a pro I bought 340's. normally the 340's would be fine but the FMJ's are a heavy arrow . to get a good FOC I needed to front load

My experience with the FMJ 400's was that they reacted to tuning more like they were a 340.

I only got 3 to start. I am going to try them for a minute see how it goes. I plan on buying more in a few weeks. I am definitely taking a huge loss in the FPS category. But the more I educate myself the less I care about FPS.
