My first deer hunt with a bow

I went on my first deer hunt this november. Got in the stand a t 6:30 and sat till 12. I had a small button buck come in behind be but I had no shot and he left. We went back to the lodge for lunch. And got back in the field after lunch. We saw a 4 point and a doe 70 yards from our stand but they never came closer. Sadly to say I struck out but I am hooked on bowhunting and can't wait to get my first deer

 

I don't plan I'm giving up I already purchased winter bow permits.i am so hooked on archery

Good luck man..... how long do you have to hunt?

 

In nj we can hunt winter bow till February and we have 100 acres in hunters on county so I will be heading out at least once a week with my dad

Good luck this month, I just renewed my license as well... I'm up in Sussex county.

 

First season hunter myself. Will be up in Vernon tomorrow and Sunday. Got a nice piece of private property next to some public ground.

 

We're pretty close to each other, I'm in Ogdensburg.... I'll be sighting my bow in tomorrow, maybe get out on Sunday! Good luck man
