They'll claim it was an inoperative "Training Use Only" mag. Nothing will happen.

That looks like a 10 round magazine to me if it is for an AR15

As much as I hate NBC, i dont think anything should come of this.

Many of our laws are stupid and a huge waste of tax dollars to pursue.

I disagree, High Capacity Magazines are dangerous and anyone violating the laws with them should be prosecuted to the fullest. Time for the Media to fall to their own tactics. Maybe then they will report on how stupid gun laws really are;)

That won't happen. Ever. It makes gun supporters look petty to want prosecution on them for holding up a 30 round mag they dont even own without a gun to go with it. Let's just stick with being the bigger more logical brother that doesn't stoop to the sky is falling tactics after a tragedy.

Yeah I don't see the big deal in having it, now I also don't want to see legislation trying to prohibit us from owning stuff like that

The #1 rule that all legal law abiding citizens do is: Know the local laws and regulations of your area or any you are visiting. NBC is behind banning them so why would they want to even be associated with them...have them...or not know the law about them. I say it's a major hilarious FAIL!!! haha!

If he's not prosecuted then it just shows how the 'elites' don't have to live by the laws they push. Be it politicians, celebs or the media.

It was clearly a standard 30 round magazine. (30 round is the standard mag for an AR) Even if disabled, it's still illegal for him to possess.

Indeed! NBC also checked with the DC Police and were advised they couldn't and did anyways, that there shows intent with knowledge of the law.

I don't understand how people think high capacity magazine are dangerous. It's not the gun or how many rounds it holds. Its the fool behind the weapon that is dangerous. Might as well blame pencil for misspelled words right. Let's band cars why we are at it. That would stop drunk drivers. Wait isn't a car weapon too. Anyone that is old enough could get a license to drive, then it goes back to the fool behind the wheel.

The ironic part is they had no trouble getting an ILLEGAL clip. I think they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

If they are not prosecuted,it shows how gun laws that are on the books now are not enforced.

I would want them to be charged just like I would be charged. If I was pulled over and had that clip in the passenger seat, would the officer arrest me? If so, then I want the same.

It is illegal to possess in DC. The same holds true here in Chicago but I can buy all the 30 round clips I want living just outside the city. They would have had to purchase this or borrow it and bring it into the restricted area, gang bangers in Chicago do it all the time.

....on the same note.... if they want to ban 30 round clips for ARs/AKs/etc.. I say go ahead. As far as I know there is no such thing. ;)

All of my CLIPS hold 10 rounds.

Well, if the zombies are coming and you yell "throw me some clips!". I'll throw you some... but you're going to be unhappy if you meant 'magazines'. ;)
