We just got our first snow of the year here in Missouri. We got about 3 inches of snow with 30 mph winds. My buddy talked me in to going out and filming him last night. We saw a little spike at about 4 and then it was dead the rest of the night. About an hour before daylight we had a good buck come in that we call "Righty" and he made a perfect shot. He didn't go 80 yards. We got amazing footage of this buck a couple weeks ago with another buck we were hunting. We got it all done on film last night, it was our first good buck on film and my buddy's first deer in the snow.
I just got cold looking at those pictures! Great buck and you are a great friend to stay out there with him. Are you going to post the vids? Congrats.
Grats on the harvest. i would kill for some of that snow. We are supposed to get some tomorrow and wednesday/thursday. lets see the video's
Lol i noticed that too. I think he ment an hour before dark. Because at the end he said "we got it all done on film lastnight".
Thanks! I will post up a clip of the video but we are working on a full video. It was actually about a half hour or do before it got dark I don't know why I said before daylight . How can you post a video on here? Do I have to put it on you tube first or can I put it on here?
Ok here is the video clip. First I apologize for saying smoked him. I know there was just a post on here the other day about not saying that. I even thought to myself after I read that, that I am not going to say that in our videos but it just came out. As you can tell we were pretty happy. We have been hunting for about 20 days straight, every evening and some mornings, to get a buck on film. It took a lot of hard work but we had fun doing it. I hope you guys enjoy the video, it's not long because is is just a clip of the full video but it's still really cool. Let me know what you guys think! www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH0vzh20HcM
Well we had two cameras filming him but the one that I put on YouTube was shot with a Canon T1i dslr. The one in the picture was a canon Gl2 but it's not HD and wasn't very good footage so I posted the HD video.
