skipped school and went hunting yesterday, saw a little spike, but then i had like 8 joggers go right underneith me, guess the deer are used to em cuz 7 does came in on the same trail a few minuets later, i couldnt get a shot at the does they were really spooky, and would look at me everytime i moved to try to draw, well still got a few weeks till end of season, good luck to the rest of you!

Congrats Buster! You need two different pictures with your doe in the scorecard thread for it to count. I am still looking from some does or anything that walks by. Tags need filled getting to late in the season.

Lets try this again in the morning! A very small blanket of snow on the ground and hope that is enough to make them move now. I have not seen a deer in about two weeks.

14 degrees with a SW 3 mph wind. I think it should be a good morning! I sure hope so. Crossing fingers and saying prayers now!

O bless me Lord as I walk into the woods, In search of a buck who here once stood. Please grant me composure, skill, and some patients when I am lucky enough to make his acquaintance. Give me strength while I face the wind and the cold and honesty when the stories are told. Give me serenity to appreciate the trees and the clover, and bring me home safely when the hunt is all over. Amen!

Well all, My season has come to an end! I had two kills of an 8 pointer with bow and a doe with shotgun. I had 1 miss, 4 passes on small deer bucks and yearlings, 3 missed opportunities with knock coming out of arrow twice and stand creaking, and here is the hardest one to swallow for me-23 hunts of seeing NOTHING! I am not sure what was going on with my property this year but I have never had that many hunts of not seeing deer. I hope that it was a one year deal and it picks back up for me next year. It is now time to do some shed hunting. Good luck to you all and we will see what happens for shed season/contest so go sign up!

Hey everyone, I struck out this year..... Shot a 130"+ and 20 minutes later it started raining(November 6th). I got down and started tracking and really thought I had made a good shot but lost the blood trail after the third bed and finding my arrow there. He was down, no doubt, but couldnt find him none the less. Missed another 120 a couple days later. Went out Monday which was the last day of the season here and jumped 3 different bucks but none came around while I was in my stand. I just didnt have a very good year.
