The dozen Carbon Express arrows i had cut to size are almost gone: few went over the cliff, 1 went under the grass, 1 thru a fence, couple shattered after passing thru the target and hitting a rock or nail, and 1 (yes ONE) did take dow my first bow kill ever this yr.
i have a new pack of arrows, but never cut off the last couple inches to match my draw length.
Will an arrow that is 1.5 extra inches make a significant difference in a 25 yard shot with my 70lb draw Matthews?

Thank you for any of your educated opinions.

I couldn't see a big diffrence but maybe on a long shot, you would see a drop because of the weight of the arrow.

Depending on the gpi of your arrows, you are only looking at a 12-15 grain difference. Not enough to sweat over at 70 lbs dw.

The only effect I could think of (other than weight) would be the effect on tuning. Might want to do some research into how a shorter arrow acts differently than a longer arrow of similar spine, if it does at all. I have bought 3 batches of arrows, all the same brand, length, and spine so I am unsure of the effect of length on arrow flight.

Getting them cut to length is a bit less hassle then retuneing and resighting the bow...

A longer arrow will react as if the spine is lighter (dynamic spine) Depending on your setup, this may or may not be a problem.

    ^This.

I have a 26" draw but shoot arrows that are 29" long so that I can get the spine right.

I have found that the shorter arrows will fling just a bit more to the right than the ones I tuned with my bow because they get stiffer the shorter the arrow. The shorter arrows definitely shoot faster though.

you may want to read the blog on "FOC"(front of center). As it applies to how the arrow will fly.

others have said get them cut and than just double tap on your tunning. but a longer arrow will have more flex in it as well.

    Definitely.

FOC, Dynamic spine, total weight are all affected by arrow length and therefore affect accuracy and impact point.
