I had the m-80 and took it back because of blury pics. I bought the MP6 in August and just changed out the first set of batteries last week! Pics are good, but video is'nt the best. Love the battery life! 10-25-12 Cemetery Ridge.jpg

Go over to chasingame.com and look at the reviews on both .. Trigger speed, battery life, and pic quality the dlc covert is twice the cam the moultrie wishes it could be.

MP 6 are on sale here at http://www.wingsupply.com for 98 bucks. For this price you will not find a better camera . I have 3 MP 6's and they have been problem free. I just ordered another one from wing supply yesterday.
Well I'm sorry they were just at the 98.00$ for black Friday. They went back up to 138 bucks today. They still are great cameras even at this price

Ok well thanks for all the help! Iv definitely decided to go with a covert but just wondering if its worth it to spend the extra money for the red 40 or just save money and get the MP6. What's your thoughts?

My experience with Moultrie also. Although I have never had to use Covert CS, I have always heard great thing about it and this mean everything when dealing with game cameras I have found

Really the only thing the red 40 has the MP6 doesn't is 8MP picture capabilities and more LED for a little better flash range for night pictures. The MP6 does everything I want it to do for a little less cash.

In my opinion the Red 40 is worth the extra money. The Red 40 takes the best pics night or day of any trail camera I have ever used . Coverts customer service is top notch :D

Pat may be a little Biased! :hail: I can tell you all though I have had to use CS ( Pat) I am a satisfied customer. I do have some objections in regards to the special ops cams. There is definitely room for improvements..... The Black60 and the Red40 are exceptional.

Use a few Moultrie cams and am not confident they're triggering on everything in front of them. Had one on a logging road and dragged the road with a tractor passing the cam six times, had one pic of myself. Recently had a neighbor track a deer through our property, warned us we'd have pics of them, not a single picture. Hard to put it out knowing you're missing a lot of action.

Same here. i know ive had deer infront on my cam because i was hunting while they stood in front of it. I always i carry a SD card when i go hunting just t so i can check the pictures out after my hunt but 35% of the pictures are black (at night) or its catching the tail end of the deer. really ticks me off !!! I wish someone would steal it already hahahahahahaha

The red takes better pics both night and day. I went with the black60 on the cams I use on public land for obvious reasons.

My personal opinion is for picture quality the Red 40 is our best camera hands down.

Now there are other reason for wanting a Black 60 other than picture quality.

I do like my Black60 quite a bit but like Pat said the Red40 is by far the best trail camera I have used. I have a number of MP6's and at first thought why spend the extra $ on the RED40, now that I have I wish I bought all Red40's.

I went on Saturday to check a new piece of property with a couple of guys. They put up a couple of my Coverts and a couple of Moultries the one guy had and a couple of Cudde's another guy had. They put a cudde and a moultrie on 2 seperate rubs on BIG trees that were torn up. Neither had a pic, I know that wouldnt have been the case with the Covert's.
