According to Field and Stream magazine, Nov 19th is supposed to be a good day for deer hunting, According to the moon and whatever. Do you guys agree with this? and if you do: What would be a good strategy for that days hunting?
The only reason I believe it's a good day is it's Nov 19th... not Oct 19th, May 19th or July 19th... ;-)
The moon cycle does affect hunting in ways. My theory is that when the moon is full and bright the deer will be feeding late into the night because they can see with all the bright light. When there is a new moon and it is pitch black during the night, they will be more active during the day because they had no light to feed the previous night. Just my thoughts
The biggest buck I've ever seen / killed in the woods was on Nov. 19th at 12:19 pm. So yes, it's a good day that holds special meaning. (Talk about pissing a girlfriend off, can't remember our anniversary but I can the date and time of the deer, ha!)
