LOTS of chasing going on last night by some younger guys. Hopefully this weekend the big ones are at it full force.
went out tonight, only saw a couple does but right at last light i heard crashing and a grunting in some thick brush. im guessing a bruiser was chasing one of the does I had seen earlier.
My weekend didnt go all that great, saw 2 deer the whole weekend. I will be taking off from work early Thursday afternoon and will have the next 5.5 days off to hunt hard.
Sitting in the rain and snow on my last day of vacation. I've passed the same little buck several times but haven't seen any shooters yet. I hope the disappointment ends today.
I alittle rut information for those in the midwest. My mom and step dad have been sitting all day and have seen little bucks cruising (she said at least 4) at all times today. She also had a shooter out in the field at 2:15. Id say the seeking phase is well unde way and the chase phase should be really rocking hard by the weekend.
Well, all the hard work has all came together. I was able to kill on of my target bucks last night. We will be taking more pictures today and I will post the entire story of the hunt and some better pictures. I thought I would share a few with you guys that were taking last night though. Just to get you guys excited.
