    Ok, after following a few lead I went back to the collar, where I also found the nock. Looking at where they were laying, I figured the end of the arrow would have had to have hit the tree meaning he must have gone on the other side from which I had been looking.

    15 yards later I found the arrow. I'm guessing I hit hit front shoulder...

    Looks to be only about 6" if penetration.

    At least I have the direction down now.

    Stay positive Fitz. Was he perfectly broadside or quartering away slightly? Seems like there should've been enough penetration. Be patient and upbeat bud!!
