Just wanted to wish everyone participating in the 2011 PA Archery opener; good luck. I am aware that doe archery season has already begun in special reg areas but for those going for that TARGET buck.....good luck.

well, it was a short one for me. I wind was nasty and the tree I was in would not stop swaying. On a good note I had a herd of smal bucks sneak up on me five- 4pts, a 6pt and a spike. The 6pt hung behind a tree 20yds to my right and never presented a shot. But it was definitely cool to see.

Nothing in the am...didn't sit the pm...with all the deer dropping on the forums and the sightings reported I have to wonder what's going on around me. Only the first day, but not happy about being blanked.

Have noticed that some bucks went down lately and some good ones....seems hit or miss though. A good friend (ROB POORMAN) shot a nice buck recently so some of the bigger deer are moving....anyone else.?

I know of a couple decent ones shot in the last couple days including a nice 8pt in Pitt last night. Been getting some good ones on cam also in day light. I have been hearing grunts all season which is odd and been seeing chasing as well even early, by mature bucks. been weird here. Havent put my eyes on a mature buck in a couple weeks now though but the cams say they are around.
