Look at you Mr. Celebrity!

One of my pet peeves too. People don't practice during the season. Or at least make sure their sights are still on after hauling theirs bows to and from the stand all season.

I love the idea of just walking out in the yard and taking a shot at your target from a distance that is nt paced off. I dont use a range finder and this excercise will definitely help me practice what I think the didtance actually is. Thanks for the idea!

Agreed, though I also like having a shooting lane with known yardages (shooting with kids/guests/friends, validating sights, for 3d, helping me judge distances more accurately, etc). I setup one shooting lane with yardage markers set into the ground. Use them if you want (look down), or shoot in a different lane and you have the experience Frank suggested. Tools needed: Brick, spraypaint, shovel, stencil (optional) -simple.

    Good article Frank!

I agree...when hunting with my son I use every advantage I can when it comes to yardage markers. I know when I took him out when he was 10yrs old. The less I had to worry about the better....
