Hey guys, since I've been bowhunting (14 years ago) I seemed to always shoot a deer wearing this ugly sweatshirt that is long sleeve purple and yellow striped. My mom bought it at a garage sale and it was warm so I would wear it hunting as an under layer. To this day it still fits me and has been deemed my lucky shirt. This thing is ugly! I was wondering if anyone else on here is a little superstitious and brings something lucky with them while hunting. Thanks in advance, Marauder
Used to have a hat I wore hunting. Same hat every year, thought it was lucky. Then this year I left it on top of my car and drove away. Not so lucky I guess.
Um, does my wife count? She has sat in my buddy stand with me 6 times. During those six sits we have seen about 10 does, numerous little bucks, a 130" 8 point and a monster 150+ junky racked big boy. She doesnt seem to understand why I only come back with a deer once in a while.
My boonie hat, it's been with me every kill since I was 14. Even if it is too cold out and I don't wear it, it's in my bag.
I just started this tradition this year. I take something my wife gave me on our wedding day. I'm trying to force it to be lucky!
"I'm not superstitious, but I'm a little stitious"- Michael Scott from the office. I always put my left side in my sleeves and pants first. I put my left boot on before my right, left glove on before the right, etc. It was an old pre-game ritual I got from playing hockey, it still applies to hunting
nope. it's all just stuff. I feel confident in my setup and ability so if a deer does walk by "luck won't have anything to do with it." OP- you should post a pic of yourself with the ugly sweater, seeing is believing.
I take with me this lucky coin my mom gave me, it has a big buck on it, everytime i take it with me I see a decent buck and the first time i brought it with me I shot my first bow buck
