I'm a firm believer in the death penalty. He doesn't deserve to be fed and bathe. Waste of tax payers dollars. Drunk or not, he should be held accountable for his actions. The end result should be him rotting in the ground.

unfortunately due to the appeals process, it costs more to put someone to death than keep them incarcerated for the rest of their life. Unless we can figure a way to get him transferred to Texas Death Row, Life without parole is pretty much a more drawn out death sentence.

Well, he vowed never to go back to prison... So Put him there... until it's his turn on death row...

Too drunk to form the intent to kill... WOW.

He was sober enough to shoot well enough to hit and kill the officer. He should rot. He doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in prison, put him in a 4'x5' cell. He doesn't deserve to be comfortable. Make it cramped, leave the lights on 24/7 and play scream and gun shots over and over!!! Starve him then force feed him. Make his life a hell on earth before he does and goes to the real one!!

Sometimes death is the easy way out. Put him in a cell with big Bubba for the rest of his life. Bubba probably needs a bi*ch.

Personally I think it would be fantastic if we could adopt a "Starship Troopers' approach to this sort of thing. Convicted today. Sentenced to death. Execution televised tonight at 6:00 pm. Tune in! "Would you like to know more?"

I find it astounding that anyone would want this human excrement kept alive.

Don't get me wrong, Mark. I understand that is not what you were saying.

He's a convicted felon who got caught committing another crime, so he murdered the law enforcement officer who caught him. If there's no question as to his guilt, then my take on it is death "old west style". Hang him, make it a short drop so it's a slow, agonizing death and everyone gets to watch.

Maybe if we televised the carrying out of a death sentence for this type of scum there would be fewer incidents like this.

Can you tell I'm not a "liberal"?

He already was a convicted fellon. Not even suppose to be near a firearm. Take him out.... or lock him up in a box without cable TV forever. Either is good with me. I'd say, let him escape and turn the PA gamewardens loose on him.

It costs too much to send someone to death row. I say life in prison and do medical/drug tests on him. Maybe then he will be of some use to society.

Nope. Just like Vietnam. No closed season, no bag limit and free ammo.

Since people believe "rather some" people belive it's cruel to put murderers to death for killing their victims the most we can expect is life in prison. Or 30 years with the possibility of parole in 15 years.

I for one opt for a death sentence to be carried out in 6 months or less.
