Well guys... I missed a really nice buck tonight.. probaly #130's or #140's :( The biggest deer I have ever seen on the hoof :/ I hadnt seem anything and was leaving the stand alittle earlier than usally. Came to the top of the hill and he was right there! I got to my knees and nocked and arrow.. Tried to range him but the range finder was dead! :O Guessed him at 25 yards but I guess he ended beeing about 18 yards. I shot right over his back! #$%^ im so sick to my stomech right now :( And the worst part is now im out of arrows!! So done bowhunting for the year... :/

My other arrows where cut at 28 inches. I had 6 arrows for 1.5 years and lost 3 this year on deer ( 2 because of unseen tree branches) and the others where due to turkeys and 4-h shooting.

Pray for a clean kill or a clean miss. You may yet see him again. I saw some arrows for pretty cheap at Wal Mart. You should feel good that you got a shot off from the ground because that in itself is an accomplishment.

It might be a good idea for you to be done for the year ...... taking one arrow into the woods is NOT a good idea ,,, sounds like you need to regroup..

I have lost 3 on deer this year total. All with Lighted nocks.. which makes them that much more expensive to lose :/ I will make some money trapping this year but I wont be getting it until December.

Sorry bud. I just checked I don't have anything that length and even the old ones I do have, I found a crack in one and would be afraid to give any of them away at this point.

Don't quit yet! There's still a lot of season left and you may have another chance to get a shot at that buck! Rake some leaves, mow some lawns, split some wood, spend a week or two of solid work to earn some money. All you need are 3 or 4 arrows. If the bowhunting fever is still in you, you'll find a way to get those arrows and get back into the woods

At 15 years old there’s plenty of mindless labor you can do for 7-8 bucks an hour. I used to mow grass and do farm work and make 10 an hour. When I got my license I got a job unloading trucks. I still have the first climber I bought with money from my part time job after school.
I would also go back and look for your arrows.
