Congratulations Scott! That's an awesome buck! I still have 14 days to wait for my season to open and you have a monster down already! You are the man!
Awesome buck! There seems to be a real comradery around here about your hunts. Im pretty fresh to the forums, but it isnt hard to see the interest generated by your posts.
Congrats man. Trail cameras have become as addicting as hunting itself. Your right though a few years ago I didn't use them. Not knowing what will step out is just as exciting as knowing a monster is around. Throwing up a set over fresh sign and taking a buck like that is quite an accomplishment. Glad you experienced it.
Thanks for all the congrats everyone, real cool of you guys to take time from you day and and share this with me! *Did anyone else notice this bucks brisket? I have never noticed another like it.(Sorry for the bold, I want to make sure you guys notice the question.) He field dressed 197.5 pounds. This seems to be top end for my area of the state. I have three between 197 and 199 but nothing over 200. Average big bodied buck in my area is around 185 pounds. No sir, I did not. I was really amped to hunt that spot too... It must just be a slow day around here... Most of these guys hate me and throw darts at my photos. Some (buck magnet) even have a "people to kill" list with me on it... He wears lip stick, I have to lay low around that guy... Here he is.
