I plan on tagging a doe next weekend. I'll get my two pics. Don't know what happened with Sam. Should we try to get another replacement?

I sent him a PM on here tonight reminding him to post the pics. He's usually on here quite often, maybe he's working or has been busy. I'm confident he'll post pics soon.

How many of us are on stand this weekend? I wish you all the best of luck!

I'll likely be in the tree tonight, Monday, and Tuesday. After that my hunting time will be limited until October 8th. I've got a busy work schedule these next two weeks.

I was mowing some trails last evening in some CRP and when I came back to where I had started, there were already deer walking down them. I had over twenty in one bean field and saw around 30 total. I usually dont hunt the first three weeks of season but the cool temps have got me wanting to get out. I have also been getting a lot of daytime pics so I may work over the does early.

I'm not that great at this but I think he's in the 135-145" range. He's got good mass and decent length. It's hard to judge his spread from that angle.

I know this doesnt count for more points fellas, but I whacked my second doe of the season on monday evening. She weighed 140 pounds and was shot at 22 yards in fading light. My nokturnal went off perfectly which was really cool. She was quartered perfectly away, and as I released she quartered WAY TOO FAR thus resulting in a poor looking, but lethal hit. The arrow entered infront of her back leg (looks horrible) but exited infront of the off shoulder. I'm really impressed with my new setup that it had the power to still pass all the through so much tissue. After the 40 yard track job in the dark, field dressing revealed that my killzone basically butterflied her right lung. The shot looks ugly, but I'm glad I was able to recover her and put more meat in the freezer.

heres my top 3 shooters so far. I'm assuming the big 10 is in the 160's, smaller 10 in the 150's, and big 8 is in the 140's. What do yall think? I'm not a great judge, but I'm trying to get better and learn more about it.

My family's farm is a rut and pre-rut hotspot, so I will keep you guys posted as new bucks show up.

Here is the decent 9 with a lot of character I passed on my second morning out. I dont think I regret the decision. He looks young, but has some cool character with sticker behind his left brow, and small drop sticker on his right beam. If the 100 acres of wheat we just planted will keep him around until next season he could be a giant 3 year old.
