All my stuff is walmart mossy oak. It just depends what kind of weather you're hunting in and what you're willing to spend.

Growing up I always used Walmart camo clothing and was never comfortable in
the woods. I had trouble staying warm. It took me years to find the right
combo for me. A few years back I got the Red Head waterproof jacket and
pants. They were nice except for you had to use suspenders for the pants
because it didn't have belt loops. The key is layering. You want to be able
to be comfy in warm weather like at the beginning of bow season and then
layer up as its get colder in the season. You don't want to get wet and cold
while in the woods. You will not be able to stay long or sit still. Both
keys to harvesting. I have recently upgraded to the Under Armour Ridge
Runner jacket and pants. They are super nice but you will pay a lot for
them. I wear Realtree AP as my pattern. In the end its all about what you
are willing to spend and what you personally think is comfortable. If you
like the Walmart clothing and it works for you then go for it. It will save
you a lot of money! Most of the camo patterns will be effective its up to
    you and what you like.

The pattern itself is really not that important. There is no better camo in the world than being still and being as scent free as possible. I would concern myself more with water repellence first (one size large) then you can layer. Secondly look for warmth. Hope this helps. I agree with some of the other guys that the remington stuff from Wal Mart is pretty good for the money and I believe they still have the zip out liners.

People that wear cheap camo aren't real hunters.

I ue scent lok full season vertigo grey. I've had deer look up the ladder of my stand and not see me. They "claim" it's a better camo because when the deer see in patterns. So they white in the camo blends in with the sky. If you were looking up wouldn't you notice a big dark blob in the tree? And as far as the scent control technology, i believe it works great. I don't have to worry about wind direction as long as I store my gear in the correct bag.

Hey mike where do u live in new England ? Cabelas up in Scarborough Maine is having a huge sale of .. scent lok, under armour, a bunch of brands. I bought the scent lok timber fleece outfit in vertigo gray camo usually over $300 I payed $135 pretty much can't beat that. Ask for Andrew T. in camo he's a good guy and will find you what you need. I needed something warm for late season I live in mass and I also wanted comfort. I can't wait to try it out. I also bought their early season real tree camo earlier this year also on sale. I used to be a ll bean guy but I fell in love with cabelas. They have awesome customer service and match ll beans warranty on cabelas products. I think it's a week long sale and online too any other questions just ask!

I don't think it really matters which pattern you get. I would find a pattern that you like and find clothing that best suits your type of hunting! Be sure to look for clothing that is quiet. Things like rain proof, wind resistant etc... are great. I would make sure that you can try on everything first to make sure that it isn't to tight in the arms and shoulders and gives you ample room to draw your bow as well as layer clothing under it. Also decide if your just going to get one set or multiple for different weather conditions. What your gonna wear in October will be different then what you will wear in January unless you do your homework and look for items with removable liners.

As for patterns just like bows everyone has favorites and almost every person on the forum knows which is best and if you use anything different then what they use you are dumb! LOL Find what you like and get out and kill some deer!!! Good luck!
