This last weekend we went to put in one of our food plots. Over the winter we went and cleared out some thick woods. We went and hung one of our sets and thought this would be a great place to put a food plot. This place is going to be a great kill plot. If a deer walks in we can get a shot. It is not very big at all and sits in the woods but the deer use the area a lot. I'm excited to see how it grows and start hunting over it soon.

Well it has been a little over a week and we have some growth! We have had two decent rains and it set the seed good and it's growing. We planted turnips so I can't wait to see them grow more. Here are some pictures of what it's looking like.

Looking good! The dew in the morning in my part of the country has helped growing - at least I think so.

Looks like a great setup! Hopefully we will have the moisture this fall to keep all our plots going. I honestly don't know what else the deer are going to eat in this part of the country! No crops, not much for acorns either!

Went out and checked my food plot today. It has been 3 weeks and it is growing pretty good. We are supposed to have 4 days of rain this week so that will help out some more but here is an update of what it looks like

Turnips are looking good sir! I got mine in about two weeks ago...and this next few days of wet weather is much welcomed! I also threw in oats and clover!

Looking good. We planted some green patch plus a about a month ago and hit the rain just right. It has come up great and the deer have already been hammering it. We got pictures of our biggest target buck on it after he got hard horned. And it's in the daytime too, so we are pretty pumped. I think deer will be hitting green food plots hard all over the state for a while. The acorn crop isn't actually too great this year.
