It appears that D&T has already taken the captain spot? I really dont care who does it (I dont want it), but if we have more than one person that does want it, I think we should wait and let them campaign a bit. It is an election year.

I can only assume that D&T was just trying to help out and volunteer, but it seems we have at least one other member that would have interest in the job. Again, I am easy going and really dont care. We will win either way!

    When does everyones seasons start?

Ohio starts on sept 29. I am hoping we get some rain lined up so I can get this little plot growing. Put out a bunch of winter wheat this year. Should be a fun season.

Was given word that a MONSTER has shown up on a property I get to hunt a few times a year. My buddy already had 2, 200 inch bucks on the wall and he says this big dude is pushing 200 again.

    Can't wait to get out.

October 1st here. But, for many years I have not hunted until the last few days of October. I may be out earlier this year but it will be to guide my son.

September 17 is our opener in Kansas. I've got some nice 140-160" deer showing up. The 160" is a ten point who's been less than predictable. My goal is to whack a doe early to put some points on the board and hold off for the 160" and try to get him patterned.

Another advantage to our property is that we have some of the only creek bottom timber around for a mile or so. Its mainly oak trees, And there's public hunting ground literally across the road to the west. Once hunters get in there we are flooded with new bucks! The 153" i shot last year was a buck id never seen On camera until 3 days before i shot him. During the rut the deer look like squirrels running around our place. I'm confident that anything could step out this year. I've scouted hard, prepared six different stands, and have kept the food And mineral available all year. I'm so ready to climb in a tree it hurts!

Ok fellas, I appreciate the support and am happy to be the captain of team 31, A.K.A. soon to be the 2012 champs. It sounds like yall are watching some good bucks, myself included, and I hope we all tag out. Ive stated this before, but my goal is to whack a doe early to get that out of the way, and then hunt hard for the bucks I've patterned.

We still are in need of a team name. Myself and Fletch have both listed quite a few different names on various earlier posts. Please refer to those posts on our team thread and leave a post with what name you like best. The name with the most votes will be chosen. I'll go first....

The Backstrappers...we are what we eat!

Oh yeah. Have a video of a MONSTER. 18 point close to or just above 200 inches. I get to hunt that place a few times a year. My buddy who hunts that property has taken 2 over 200 inches in the past 4 years
