What is the best Hang-On Tree Stand I can buy for under $200. The Lone Wolf stands are nice, but not going to pay over $200 for a tree stand. I am looking for a wide platform and a foot rest would be ideal. I have been looking at the Muddy Outfitter - didn't know if anyone had any suggestions advice. I searched past threads and didn't really find what I was looking for. Thanks for the help!

Also looking for screw in steps - I have a pretty big tree that I am going to be climbing and sticks will not do the trick. So any reccomendations on a nice screw in step would also be helpful.

Don't have one yet but also in the market for a hang on. I have pretty much chosen a gorilla king kong hx. Reviews are good, and they are just around 100, so you could get two. hope this helps.

Well Im gonna tell you one a bit over $200...millennium M100. You can get it at sportsmans guide for $211. The great thing about it though is you can buy more brackets for it, and just pack in the stand each hunt and hang it each sit so you have more then one location for cheap. They are super comfortable and lots of foot room. Sorry if the price is to high, I promise I wasnt ignoring your request, just trying to help out if possible.

I have a muddy, it's the larger one, can't remember the name of it, just the hunter I believe.
I absolutely love it. The seat is extremely comfortable, even for a small hang on seat. I sat it up the other day just to practice and the platform was at 16". I didn't space them to where it was uncomfortable either, but I will note, I did get a 5th stick.

The rope for the sticks is really long. I did try some of the screw in steps from walmart (ameristep) and they worked great. Make sure you try those on the tree first.

If it's a permanent type stand I would suggest just buying the cheap one's at ****s or gander mountain and put a nice pad like muddy on it. You'll have a ton less invested.
Also, you can use a cheaper ladder stand.

Just depends on what you're wanting to do with it

Thanks guys - as usual a little more information is needed. lol

The tree I am going to hunt out of with this stand is a little higher than would normally be recommended at about 25 to 30 feet up in the air. The stand will be sitting on a food plot and the tree I am climbing in is a big tree. The branch that I am going to put the stand on doesn't break out (strait up) from the base of the tree until that high up. Yes I will be using a harness as I always do.

This tree stand will be very protected by surrounding branches and I believe that I will be able to sit in it relatively undetected and should be able to see parts of the hunting property that are difficult for me to see because of elevation changes and lots of brush.

    Hope this helps!

I have the muddy outfitter it's a great stand. It's on the heavier side because it's made of steel. Seats comfortable and is just a solid all around stand.

Another vote for the Gorilla. Very solid, plenty of room, and a great price. You can't hardly beat that combo.

    Blessings........Pastorjim
