How much I hate this country, it has to the butt hole of the world with Iraq coming in as the grundle of the world. I can not weight to come home and do what I want and hunt, fish, drink beer because im soooooooooooooo sick of this place.
Well, from what I understand, the goal is to make the US like that country. To allow the muslims free reign and anyone else who want to change the USA. It all starts with a socialist state, and thats where we are heading. If you want your freedoms to remain, you better get out the vote.
I hear you brother. I felt the same way about Vietnam when I was there. I hope you are right about America. I love this country, but I see us heading in the wrong direction. I pray we can turn it around soon. You stay safe, God be with you, and get home soon.
Get home quick and safe! We'll make sure there are still plenty of bucks for you to chase when you get back
You got that right. My nephew is there now, his shift is almost over. You guys ( and gals ) are in our prayers daily. Stay safe.
The worse part is knowing when your gona come home haha time literally stop's once you know the date. I wish they never told us, it goes faster that way.
I bet your are and I am so sorry you are there brother. You and 64longbow and EVERYONE else and I and my family DO recognize what you do everyday and we really DO appreciate it and we do see your sacrifice and love all of you guys and gals that put up with it and we do think about you and pray for you. I would love nothing more than to bring you all home and let that 5hithole burn.
Hey... every GI that has fought for this country or done it's dirty work over the past 100 years has hated the country he was in. There is no place like home. You volunteerd. So, do what you're suppose to, do what many many before you have done. Quit your *****in.... you're getting 3 squared a day and have internet. Hell, when I was hunting in Vietnam we had snail mail. Everything was 3 weeks behind the times. We had heat, bugs, crotch rot, malaria and all sorts of folks trying to kill us too. So now.... here we are with you doing the same thing a lot of people did for 100 years. You aren't special.... you're just on duty. LOL Several million have preceeded you. I have been a bullet shooter in a hostile environment.... so have millions of others before and after me.
Yes, he is special. So is USArmyMP. So are the other members of this site who are serving right now. So are you, and so is every other soldier, marine, sailor or airman who has ever stood a post, stood a watch, manned a wall or served and fought so that countless millions who depended upon them to defend their way of life, their freedom and their very existence could sleep easy and enjoy their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. For Bohica, USArmyMP and any other members of this site who are currently serving: Thank you for your service and I hope that before you know it you find yourselves at home surrounded by family and friends.
Well he's got to quitthe*****in and do the job. Rule one... survive and protect those around you. Do the job and you'll get the cold beer. It's the big proficiency test. You get all the ammo you want, there is no closed season and no bag limit. What more could you ask for.
To be honest I didn't take his post as *****in' in the least. I just read it like this - he has an avenue to vent or blow off steam that you and those before you didn't have and he's using it. I had to laugh out loud at the next to the last sentence though - "no closed season and no bag limit". I think I just woke up my wife. Thanks a lot for that. Seriously, though, as to your question "What more could you ask?", I'm sure that down deep you know the answer to that. Family close by, your children within arms reach instead of 9,000 miles away, being able to actually talk to your wife face to face instead of by letter or (now) e-mail, a hot shower, a warm, comfortable bed and a good, peaceful worry-free nights sleep. I hope that they have every one of those things as soon as possible.
At his age you're full of piss and vinegar. You're invincible. And then... you find out life can be hard. It's not what you invisioned. I was lucky... I hadn't started my family before I went to war for a couple years. We were invincible. We talked invincible. We found out we weren't. My first tour I lost 11 from my platoon. Those were people I trained with for 14 months before we went to Vietnam. I lost 11. At that point you try to save people and go home. We complained just like he's doing. Yup, we hated the country.... that's why I volunteerd for a second tour after 7 months home so I could lead 220 men into combat. You do your job. It was easier the second time. The war was quiet in 69-70... but I was also smarter. You're trained to do the job. Let the training take over... it'll happen automatically if you let it. Quite the beeching and do the job. Home comings and cold beer will follow. Apathy and a bad attitude will make sure you don't get the cold beer.
David not *****ing, funny thing is you dont act like this on huntingnet... Just saying I cant wait to come home and do what I want. You guys had beer to drink, got leave, did drug's (not saying you personally but in that era), could see women. Didnt get restricted by roe like we do. You have no idea how much it has changed. Thanks for you service before me but shut your mouth, like I said before not *****ing just expressing that I want to come home and do the thing's I love, like chase girls, go out and drink, hunt, everything else. Also another thing, how do I in any way have a bad attitude?
Hey Bohica, are you guys going to BAF. if so message me and let me know, maybe we can meet up and exchange some stories.
