Do the outdoor shows insist on showing the same 2-3 minutes of video after the commercials that I just watched before the commercial? Do they think I forgot what I just saw or wasn't paying attention? Show me something different, surely you have more interesting video out there somewhere.
That's always bothered me as well. I think they're trying to fill new viewers in on what happened before the "break". I just think they could tone it back a bit. 15 or 20 seconds is all you really need.
Yep and Yep. There is a need for it IMO, but not to the extent some shows take it (unless it left off in the middle of an action scene, which is annoying in its own right).
More irratating is they first tell you what happens, then they show you and tell you again... and then they comeback and do it all over. I'm just about done with the clowns that call themselves experts. They contiually make terrible shots... continually say we'll back out and come back in the AM. They never even walk the blood trail to see what's happening. They're mostly rookies with a TV program hunting in buck Heavens. They sit in a stand overlooking a field with anywhere from 20-100 deer and people declare them great hunters. They are for the most part shooters in paradise. I watched a show the other day.... they put out something like 200 trail cams. They had a whole building full of this BB squared or whatever it is. They dumped it everywhere. They had 1000 dollar feeders everwhere. Why don't they just call it deer farms. It certainly isn't hunting as the real hunting community knows it.
I record most shows with my DVR, then when I watch them I can fast-forward thru the commercial advertisements. I almost never watch any shows live anymore. And if I am channel surfing and see one that looks interesting that is now playing, I will set it to record, and watch something else that I have already recorded while it is recording. Life is too short to get trapped by commercials.
Hunting shows, we love to hate them. Because we want to watch them and have them take us hunting when we cannot, we love to see deer, bear elk and all the other critters we hunt in the wild, when we cannot hunt. Then they completely ruin the show for us and we are left sadden, but we will watch again with hopes high!!
I guess this is another good reason I dont watch that crap on TV. Seems people keep going back only to be disappointed again.
This is not just hunting shows. A few weeks back I was wondering the exact same thing with Ax Men. It seemed so bad that I was thinking of using a stopwatch to figure out how much actual content was in the hour long show. Then I realized how silly that sounded...:D
