There are plans to offer the KZ in 125gr. Not sure if it will happen during the 2012 year, but for most of the more popular "new broadheads", NAP typically offers a 125gr. vernon in year 2. Depending upon internal factors, I would say it's "possible" a 125 could be offered prior to the Fall season, but I've heard no concrete indications it will happen. The Bloodrunner 2-blade 125gr. head was released "mid-year" last year, so there's always the chance that a 125gr. KillZone could be released sometime within 2012.
Thanks for the info I will definately keep my eyes open for them. The videos look great too, when placed properly they dont go far with the killzone!
For those of you guys who want to shoot heavier arrows, remember you can always switch to brass inserts or brass add-on weights screwed into your insert. This allows you to customize your setup any way that you want and opens you up to shoot any broadhead regardless of what weights it's available in. I'll be shooting CX Maximas with 100 grain Killzones this fall, and an additional 30 grains of weights added to the back of my insert. Problem solved.
Justin, what product do you specifically use to increase your weight? I am shooting the same arrows as you. If it is as simple as just screwing an extra weight into the insert I would definately entertain the thought of doing that. Thanks!
no i wont be able to do any hunting this year due to my date being pushed back to august i wont be home from cal till jan or feb. i will take them out on some turkeys early spring you can bet that
I use the Gold Tip brass weights. They screw into the standard CX inserts no problem. 20 grain weight - http://goldtip.com/componentdetail.aspx?page=weights&cid=105 And you need the looooong allen key if you want to take them in and out of arrows with inserts in them. http://goldtip.com/componentdetail.aspx?page=tools&cid=109 Voila! Shoot any arrow/broadhead combo in any weight you want.
j/c for your killzone owners....did any of you buy the individual practice heads? I bought 2 packs and the threading is a lot smaller than the practice head that came in the 3+1 pack....it doesn't even fit my inserts, but the one in the 3+1 package does...did they make this single practice head in a different sizes? Man....what a waste of money for those practice heads...
Sounds like you may have gotten a pack of the "D6 (Deep Six)" KillZone practice heads ... which do have a smaller ferrule shaft and threads!!!
i dont use them but my brother has them along with the practice tips and after about 20- 30 shots the practice tips broke, but the flight was the same as field tips.
Ive seen them at my local archery shop, bBckstop in northern IL. my brother ordered some practice broadheads from them for us to start using. havent shot one yet, but am very excited.
