    Welcome to the site.

You have come to the right place. Your bow is plenty.....just practice and spend time here reading and you will have alot to work with.

    Good luck.

35 yards is the outer limits of my range.

The hard part for me is to be in a spot that a deer will be during day light hours and not see me or smell me when I try to draw the bow and shoot as I'm shaking with excitement.

    I only shoot @ 62# :tu:

Put it where it counts and you'll be fine. I kept to a 25-30 yd limit my first couple years. I still will only shoot out to 35-40 if the conditions are right.

    Welcome to the site Colton!

The first deer i killed with a bow i was only drawing 35 and i bad a complete pass through and she only went about 30to yards or so. You will be fine just pratice good arrow placement and form and you wont have a problem

It took me 7 years to kill my first buck with a bow! Took me a few years to kill my first deer with a bow. After that, it has been a constant addiction to get em in close. My farthest shot at a deer was 30 yards with a bow. I set my stands close to trails and only hunt it when the wind is right. Venture around the forum here and watch the webshow and you will pick up more than a few helpful tips.

As far as your setup, sounds more than capable of taking a deer! As far as your distance, that depends on you. If you feel comfortable and confident at 35 yards with broadheads, who are we to tell you if you should be shooting that far? I practice shots farther than I am comfortable with practicing because it seems to help my groups at even closer distances. Good Luck!

It should be plenty. Im 17 and i only have a 27 inch draw but a 70lb draw and it has blown through the 2 deer i have shot with a bow.
