Doesnt matter how it was said. You simply have to be smart enough to know that you cant say it, period. No excuses, ignorance doesnt get him off on this one. I am in NO WAY a fan of our current President, but I am smart enough to know that you cant make irresponsible comments in public about him. Again, it does our conservative movement much more harm than good. No question about that. All threats have to be taken seriously. That's why its stupid to make them. Again, it was a dumb move on Nuge's part. But, I wasnt suprised, he has trouble with reality.

I didn't even read the article in this thread but I've saw a few other interviews he's done. At times his words are awesome and at other times he needs to pipe down a notch.

In the day and age of "Real Time" media, people are looking for anything to ream someone for. The days when you can say something and it falls by the wayside is GONE. Freedom of speech DOES NOT apply to people in the public spotlight. Example... Jim Carrey can say to his friend at the mall, "That is a Beautiful Black Woman". Identifying the woman he is referring to. A nice thing to say. Right? WRONG!!! He would be reamed by the media for identifying her as a "Black Woman" and not a woman. I am a Black, bow/gun loving Republican and it drives people (black people in general) crazy. I say things all the time that many people would say are "not appropiate" but I have long since stopped caring what people think and just speak honestly. Obviously, Ted is of the same mindset. I love Uncle Ted, but he has to be aware that there are repercussions for his words. Especially when he idenitifies himself with a certain group. With that being said, he walks by the beat of his own drum. With age it seems like the mouth filter slowly vanishes with many people. It is what it is.

I think people like Ted Nugent and Sara Palin are the reason Obama will serve a second term. I’m very conservative, but who needs enemies when you have friends like these….

What ted said is no different from what liberals said when Bush was in office, the only difference is liberals get a free pass with tongue and cheek statements. I like ted, but i don't want him to speak for me, I have no problem pissing people off my self.

Agreed Christine, but since they're on the "same side" it's not seen as a real threat. Remember Jesse is know to be ALL TALK, and NO ACTION!!! And it was "cut his nuts off," not "balls!!!" :D

Agreed. I've said for a long time, the message isn't the problem, it's the delivery of the message. And while Ted can be very well spoken, he can also make a total A$$ of himself, and more often than not, it seems it's the latter... An Ally is only a GOOD ALLY if they are dependable and don't create more problems than they solve; Ted seems to create more problems than he helps solve!!!

Ted had done very little other than be a BLOWHARD!!! And don't tell me about his activism, his writing, etc, because in the end, he gives US (as gun owners and hunters) a big black-eye in the eyes of the non-hunting /non-gunowning community because he's so abrasive!!! We need the support of those who aren't like us, even more than the support of those who ARE like us!!! GWB did the most for gun rights of any president in your life by sitting by the wayside and allowing the assault weapons ban to expire, and not hearing anything about renewing it. The AWB only proved that even with stricter gun restricitons, the violence in our society only continued to worsen, therefore the AWB did NOT improve upon anything. The SOCIALISTS in our Congress are too busy working on social spending issues to worry much about gun control over he last 3+ years, but if NObama gets re-elected, it will be one of the big issues they'll try to take issue with before he's out of office.

I think he is spot on when it comes to our current administration. The SS questioning him is an overreaction, but nothing new. The big problem I see here, is Ted endorsing Romney. WTH? A phone call is going to make it ok?? What about past record & Romney's habit of wearing flip flops???

    Disappointed.
