looking at all my cams here I am looking for a pattern why some fail is it that the moisture is getting into my cams and eating away at the electronics like this time of the year when most cams are cold overnight and up to 90 + during the day. why dont cams come with desiccant bags for moisture in the cams or are they made to die just as the warranty goes out. Looking to see what cams live the longest from us guys that truly use them all year. I have some cams that are five years old that still work fine others seem to lose it just as the warranty runs out. my cams run for the most part 24/7/365 days a year but my cam pile of the dead is growing and maybe some of the higher dollar cams will last longer.
All my Primos cams are still going strong. My Moultrie and Cuddeback cams are garbage (literally for the Moultries).
I have 2 HR 8.0 from DLC Covert that are 2010 models and have taken thousand and thousands of pictures. I had older cameras of other brands that I sold.
I've got a Stealthcam that is probably 4 yrs old. I also think my Reconyx is about that old. Both still going strong. Blessings.......Pastorjim
I have some moultries that I bought reconditioned like 5 years ago that will still function, but the LCD screens are shot. I use them in places where I wouldn't risk a nicer cam.
Got a Bushnell Trail Sentry 4 yrs old still going strong. It has taken thousands of video clips over the years.
My No Flash Cuddebacks lasted me about 2 years. My Reconyx Is going on 4 years old. Works just as good as the day I bought It.
I have 4 Cuddebacks. 1 is 7 years old and 3 are 6 years old. I am still using them and have used them year round for the last 2 years.
Does the kind that didn't take pictures count? My first trail "device", the only thing it did is count the number of times a animal passed by it.
thats ok i get it... I have three ltl acorn cams i will send you some pics with 12 mp instead of 3mp so you can see the difference. Back at ya. Go and check out chasingame web site and look at the forum pages and decide for yourself.
