4/7 buck still carrying

    Couldnt believe it. This morning i saw a half rack. I tried 2 get a pic, but more cars came & scared him from the road side. I always heard about some carrying late, but now i finally saw one

    We have a local park near where I live and they used to have some penned deer there. I distinctly remember going there in April and seeing deer with racks. These were wild deer that had been injured or orphaned and had just been placed there.

    We checked our cameras a week ago and we still had a first year deer with his antlers yet, surprising to say the least.

    The latest I've seen a buck with antlers was on opening day of WI turkey season about 3 years ago. So that's mid-April. He had both sides and was about 120".

    Woah, yeah thats very late. One was hit by a car close to home a week ago and it already had 3" of new rack (with mass) :rant:

    I'm not on my hone computer but, i have a pic of a nice little 6 that still has both sides about a week or so ago. I had a 5 that had only one side around a month ago.

    Heck at this rate mine will still be in velvet in December. I would like to shoot a velvet buck for my first buck.
