If a night color video has a quality as in the attached picture, is it acceptable? color_video.jpg

I believe that at least two companies will release such cameras this year. Those who enjoy color night pictures, will they enjoy color night video?

Since you seem to be a insider do you mind telling who you work for? The manufacturer or vendor that you post for all the time?

I see the color pic but no video, but i am not surprised it's a small Asian boy...... guess we dont make anything anymore.

For small market like trail cameras, American manufacturers cannot be profitable, thanks to everybody's desire for low prices. But actually many brands have operations or designs in US, so its hard to just draw a line of US or China. It's all international now, thanks to WTO.

I am an investor of Boly Media and the company asked me to do some promotion of their products, but I am not a hunter. I have never shot a real gun in life. actually my primary interest is in security. So the only thing I can do is to come to forums like here to check things out. Another company announced a night color video camera to be released late this year is WGI, according to their news releases.

As Black IR gets more and more popular, will the other extreme, color video, have a need at all? I guess only animal scientists or governments, or photographers may want it.

    Dear Sugarcreek

I think this should have been your first post,I can respect someone from a vendor point of view here and information that you could ad to this form maybe invaluable to us end users.

Hope you stick around and add some insight into the products being produced by your company.

    Thank you, Ultramax.

The imaging industry is progressing so fast, what is happening in mobile phones will happen in trail cameras as well. The chunky cameras are pretty much like the old analog motorola brick phones. The lower mega pixels will be overflooded by the high mega pixel cams. The ever rising Gas cost will make many to consider wireless cameras seriously.

I too am waiting on the time when a time when a trailcam will be able to transmit a good quality pic to my computer. While I always love getting deer pics, my main goal is to get beautiful pics. That's why I got into homebrews. I just hope someday the technology will be there for great quality photos at an affordable price.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

If you love beautiful pics, then a good news for you is that the SG565F-8M or the Covert Reveal 2012 will now match the quality of homebrews, but offer more functionality. Most notably, the Scoutguard SG565F-8M or the Covert Reveal 2012 offers Long Range detection and flash illmunation, which homebrews are not a match, mention not the battery life.
